Today was, as Backstabbed would say, most unproductive! :) Spent most of my time re-reading an old Agatha Christie novel (Title: The Body in the Library. How's that for a great mystery book! And no, it wasn't the butler who did it. I'll give you a hint: It wasn't the butler.)
The rest of my time was spent snacking on crackers or falling into a medicine-induced sleep.
I swear, I think my jeans are falling off my hips. Maybe being sick does cause you to be malnourished. But I think I resolved that with dinner today!
"Dinner?" you query. Yep, dinner!
Today we (we being me, Backstabbed and Potatoes) drove down to Kepong for a steamboat dinner. We had coconuts - man, I miss a proper coconut drink, fresh juice drunk right out of the coconut shell with lots of luvverly white coconut flesh. Yum yum. Canned coconut juice in Perth just doesn't cut it. It doesn't even taste remotely like fresh coconut juice.
Anyway we ate loads until we were waaay stuffed. Those cute little straw mushrooms, the black mushrooms, cabbage, noodles, the yummiest barbequed chicken wings ever, um, this beige thingy that I don't rightly know the name of but is totally yummy, fishballs, and tofu.
Poor Backstabbed had a bad time of it when Potatoes and I started questioning him on his lovelife. We then started going through a list of potential girlfriends for Backstabbed. That was when Backstabbed started to find his coconut more important than our *ahem* discussion on ways to pep up his lovelife.
Anyway, must go now. Am counseling Constantly on her own love trials. All I can say is, if your boyfriend prefers watching TV to hanging out with you after you've made a loong trip to his house to spend one of the few days you only have to be together in a week, well, it's time to kick him right where it hurts!!!

Am still sick, which is a total pain in the ass! Because I have run out of medicine, I get to make another trip to the doctor's to stock up on even more yucky pills and - right now, icky cough syrup as well. I have now been diganosed with a cough and cold. Lovely, I'm sure. The cough syrup especially is causing me to fall asleep so I am basically comatose 24-7. And if that's not enough of pill-taking, Potatoes has me on to these spirulina pills - some healthy organic food supplement which is suppose to be a miracle cure for all sorts of things. As long as they're helping me with the horrible mouth ulcers that I've gotten as a result of the heat that I've been saturated in since I got home, I'll continue taking them. But I'll report back if I start turning green or gain the ability to make my own food in the sunlight (spirulina is really some kind of seaweed algae that we learnt about in high school science classes and has loads of chlorophyll!)!
Anyway! Have also been having major headache since Saturday. Which is a bitch, since I never EVER have migraines but when this one happened, it's one major son of a bitch. Get me down! Grrr! Why am I suddenly a walking advertisement for ill health? Anyway, hopefully with a lot of rest, I get better soon... in time for Christmas, I hope!
However, ill health will never stop me from fulfilling my *ahem* social obligations. On Friday night, Potatoes, me, Backstabbed, ScreamingSour and S, who will be temporarily known as SydneyBoy until or unless he gets a better nick to suit him, went over to Club 7. Man, has that place changed! They've got a bar now, and a kind of platform thing built in, where you can sit and have drinks while waiting for one of the pool tables to be available. We waited ages for a pool table, but not as long as how we waited for VJ to show up - which was never! Haha! This was a great chance for me to demonstrate how terrible my pool skills are after over a year of non-pool-playing. Potatoes noticed just then that Backstabbed had quite a butt, so we distracted him from his pool games by um, "cheering" him on by shouting "Go, ass!" whenever he stepped up to shoot a ball. And to compensate for all that "cheering", we shouted "Go, tits!" for ScreamingSour! Well, I did, anyway!
On Saturday, I had to accompany mom to a wedding - the bride was her friend's daughter. It wasn't too bad - except that I kept wanting to cough so badly and had to restrain myself because I was in a wedding! The bride was marrying her ex-university lecturer - lovely. "So now we know what really goes on in university lecture halls!" jokes the priest in his sermon.
After the wedding, we drove over to the clinic where I had the aforementioned second trip to the doctor's. He gave me a strict list of don'ts - Don't move from extreme heat conditions to extreme cold conditions, i.e. entering a freezing air-conditioned room after standing out in the hot sun, don't drink cold liquids, don't stand in the rain - according to him, I am not to allow even "one or two drops" to touch me. All of which, I basically disobeyed the very same night. Oops!
Anyway, got home, took the medicine, had some pizza for dinner, and then felt better enough to head over to Potatoes', where she and Backstabbed and VJ were just about to open a bottle of Absolut Vodka. We ended up playing some random drinking game with all these assorted rules. A couple of hours later, the vodka was almost gone, Backstabbed was sitting back, flushed and going "I don't think I can drink anymore." Potatoes was the best, she was rolling around on the floor, hugging her little dolphin stuffed toy and going "I'm not drunk but I can't drive!!!" So it was left to me to run back to my house (in the rain too, as a drizzle just broke out right as I ran out onto the road, so much for the doctor's orders) and get my car and take Backstabbed and VJ home. According to them, they left Potatoes in a more or less coherent state, with her boyfriend due home any moment, so I guess Carrots could take care of Potatoes when he got back. Lol! When I got home, I called up the Gutter Philosopher and, in a slightly less-than-sober state, informed him of what I've been up to. "You're always such a handful," he sighs. And just because I was telling him about how I switched lanes while driving the other day and scared some chick who was crossing the road in front of me. Well, I just looked like I was about to hit her, I wasn't *really* gonna hit her. But she ended up cursing me, or so ScreamingSour said. I didn't bother looking back, I was too busy laughing.
And that leaves today, Sunday, the day of my medically-induced comatose state! Slept most of the day, except when taking random pills and cough syrup, and basically more or less resting. Today is also the day Bundles leaves for a weeklong trip to Hong Kong! Speaking of which, both Alleya and the Mad Dentist from Adelaide are also in Hong Kong/China this month as well. And my sister is pretty much keen on going to Hong Kong too only my mom won't let her. The whole world wants to go to Hong Kong and China, it seems!
I say: Why go to China, when we can be rescuing Tibet from China?
Sorry, just had to break out into one of my "Tibet Deserves Its Independence from China!" mode for a sec there.
*Pause*
LONG LIVE TIBET!!!
Right, gotta go take some more medicine now. Adiu, my dear readers!!!

Yesterday I went over to Bundles's to watch Initial D. It wasn't too bad... and after that we watched House of Fury, this other movie which was pretty sweet. Bundles has a whole bunch of Chinese movies now - she's got a Chinese movie craze now, I think! Not to mention Korean too. I read in the papers the other day about the ASEAN summit, which is being held in KL. Anyway, the leaders of several Asian countries are, duh, attending the summit, and as they were waiting for some meeting or something to start, I think the Malaysian prime minister, Abdullah, made some remark to the Korean leader about how there's such a Korean drama craze in his country, and within minutes all the leaders were having this big discussion about the Korean drama craze.
Personally, I think Korean dramas are a bit draggy. *Oops, I think I probably just offended loads of people.* But I like My Sassy Girl though! Plus point!
Today I went to 1u with Bundles to watch Perhaps Love starring Takeshi Kaneshiro, Jacky Cheung and um, someone else. It's a sort of chinese musical and I went expecting crappy songs but it was really really nice! The songs were really nice too and...well...I really liked the movie. Bundles did too! So if you have a chance, go catch it!
And tonight I went to the night market with Potatoes, Backstabbed, ScreamingSour and Stephen. OMG...there were soo many people and it was soo hot and crowded. I swear, I'm not use to the weather anymore. That's TERRIBLE because I can usually adapt to weather easily all the time. But, it seems, not anymore!
Anyway, it was fun, it's been so long since I've been to a night market. Lots of raw fish, big dead fish lying on ice, woks full of fishballs and tiny dumplings, boxes of these really big dumpling buns (paus), paus in weird shapes too that I've never seen before, mochis, clocks for sale beeping, beggars seated in the middle of the road, forming islands that the crowds part currents and move around, loads of clothes and Chicken Little toys, Chinese funeral items, sweets and biscuits, etc, etc, etc. We saw a stall with a whole bunch of live frogs in a cage, and the stall owner was this big guy who was like chopping up this frog. I don't know if it was alive or not, but there was all this scarlet blood squirting out everywhere. Eeee! "Hmmm," I said to Potatoes, "I bet this guy must ace his biology!"
After that, we headed to good old "J'tong" for a sort of late dinner/supper! Man, I have missed that place! While we were waiting for the food, we girls started opening the little pressies that Backstabbed got us while he was in Singapore. They were supposed to be Christmas presents, but we can't be bothered waiting. He had gotten us all these cute little watch rings - rings that, isntead of a stone set in it, it's a little watch face, or in other words, a watch masquerading as a ring. Mine is really cute, it has a purple face with a little silver dolphin wrapped around it. Thanks, Backstabbed! *Blows a kiss* And you can also use it as a single-finger knuckleduster. Like a fingerduster.
Anyway, it was really good seeing everyone again. Love ya guys! :)
Ooh and I got a Kanye West album, but silly me got the wrong one instead! Damnit! Now I have to go hunt down the right one!

So anyway, got back home all safe and sound :)
Went to see Amin Van Buren with the Duchess and the porn star, whom I finally got to meet! :) It was really fun and we ended up in the VIP section thanks to the Duchess's friend! But later on, the price of all those Long Island Teas just makes me recoil. Alcohol is too expensive here. The next day, Bundles and I headed to 1u to watch Narnia and catch up on each other's lives. We ended up just sitting on one of the red sofas around the mall, sipping juice and yakking on and on. Later on, I came back to 1u with ScreamingSour and her bf (whom i finally get to meet too!) and we had sushi and watched Aeon Flux. I didn't think it was as bad as what everyone seems to be saying about it. We then went back to ScreamingSour's place where we met up with Potatoes and watched episodes of Super Retarded Dog and Mulholland Drive, which just about drove us nuts.
As I wa driving home, the Philospher called me up on my cell and I had to pull over to talk to him. It was a waaay dark road that I ordinarily would NEVER stop on and as I was yakking to the Philosopher, I kept my doors locked and the engine running and my eyes all around me. If I saw even the slightest hint of any danger (supernatural or otherwise) I'd scream and drop the phone and put my foot down hard on the accelerator and hightail out of the place, long-distance call or no long-distance call.
Anyway, the fever that I was beginning to suspect take over me while I was watching Mulholland drive took over in full reign on Sunday and I've been sick ever since then. Not a nice thing to be when you're finally home and ready to go out with half a dozen people every day. But now I'm mucho better and hopefully will see everyone again soon! HUGS, everyone!

Sigh...okay, i'm back home... and missing everyone and everything very much! Maybe it has to do with the flu that I came down with since I got home and am only just recovering from and maybe it's just because I do miss everyone very much! Anyway, gosh, it's been AGES since I've typed any entries for this space. What with running back and forth everywhere, packing up and moving out of EUH to spend the last couple of weeks at the Gutter Philosopher's and Pharrell's new house (where they have no Internet connection yet, the horrors!) and flying home where I've been waylaid with the flu...pah...
Anyway, I'll try to catch you all up on what's been going on with my life...though i'll probably forget to add some stuff and will try to do that later... hmm...well a few weeks back, headed out for dinner with the Duchess, Tom Thumb Hairdryer, his friend S, and S's girlfriend. S's girlfriend knows a friend who knows about this little pizza place that's suppose to serve the best pizza ever. So we ended up through this really long dark journey in the car, going through all these kind of creepy forests and roads and tiny towns - if u can call them towns. And we'd thought we must have missed it or gone past it or it doesn't exist or something after driving for ages when we finally came upon the place. And it does serve really yummy pizza! I'm still thinking about that apple strudel pizza we had for dessert...yumyum... apparently the place serves "the world's best pizza". It's on top of a hill (which explains why our ears were popping while we were driving through the forests) and it's really nice to check out the city lights as we were driving back. After that we wanted to go clubbing so we headed to Varga Lounge and the Church.
What else happened? Well, I was rudely awakened at 2 am in the morning by Sheryl, the Tall One, and the Philosopher all claiming that the Philospher had been arrested and taken to jail. The fool wasn't actually arrested but he had been stopped by the police. He and Pharrell had gone out drinking with another Seychellois friend earlier that evening and the fool had gotten stinking drunk and Pharrel had been driving his car in which they had all been sitting in without using seatbelts (not that I am a stickler for seatbelts but in that city you can actually get done in for not using your seatbelt). Anyway, the police slapped a yellow sticker on his car, rendering it "unsuitable for driving in the streets" because it had a broken tail light, his driver's seat had to be kept upright by this wooden stick that would be great as a stake in Buffy or Angel. And for something else too, but I can't remember what it is. Anyway, they managed to get it back to EUH and it's been there ever since. King's suppose to drive it over to the Philosopher's house but at the mo, the keys seem to be missing and now I don't know what's happening since I'm back here. Keys are always missing around the Philospher, lol.
Also, we've been kept pretty busy cleaning our flats and stuff. Went over to the Brothel Flat to help 'em out - gawd I swear I did more cleaning over there than in my own place. Those drawers are dees-gusting. And with the shifting and all...i felt like a hobo with all my boxes and bags full of stuff. Except a hobo never had so many boxes and bags as I did. And saying good-bye was sad... the Pothead Teddy was leaving for good and he got all sentimental saying goodbye to me, which was a real surprise since he's never been anything but sarcastic, and it made me all sentimental and sad too...awww!!!
We had an early Christmas lunch the other week too... which became a dinner as it turns out because everyone overslept and couldn't be bothered waking up in time to roast a turkey and collect the food and so on. I ended up peeling potatoes with a knife which was actually quite fun. I think this is like the second time I've ever peeled potatoes, lol. After dinner, the Tall One went off to drive the Columbian home while the Swedes and German Boy and the Philosopher had a bunch of smokies out in the backyard and me and Sheryl got drunk in the living room. We thought there was a party going over at the Philospher's brother's place and went over there but turns out there was naught but a bunch of people sitting around talking and sipping baccardi and beer. The party was, in fact, due next week, when we were all gone.
We also celebrated Gretchel's birthday recently...went over to the restaurant that King works sat, which is by the riverside and really quite nice. Yummy oysters! The Philospher and I bought her some Dusk candle stuff which was really nice.
The flight home was in a word claustrophobic. The airplane seemed to be so much smaller than I remembered and everything just seemed so CRAMPED. I somehow managed to get on the plane with a blade in my bag - they seemed to have missed out on that. I could have been the world's next terrorist! But I chose to sit quietly and have a glass of cheap white wine instead. Nice little me. Purrr.
