Phew. It's been ages since I've blogged, isn't it?
The weather was a bit wild and windy this week but since yesterday it's cleared up and it's all sunshin-y and pretty. Hooray! Let's hope it stays like this for the whole of next week. Keep your fingers crossed, everyone. ;)
Guess what, folks! I have a cigarette holder! It's black and classy and I got it courtesey of the Lost Smoker. Whoot! Such a nice boy!
Everyone's been in a more or less hibernating mood since the weather turned cold which is a little sad. *Sniff*
The Duchess is busy working right now, as we speak. She's coming up with an advertising strategy for a product. She went around asking everyone to help her come up with a product. She rejected MoonShine dishwashing liquid and genetically engineered turtles for flying scooters. Flying scooters! I don't know what century she's living in. She's gone into the future.
Strange people have been clamoring to get onto my msn. All friends of friends that I have apparently met once or twice before but I don't remember. I'd better put a stop to this!
The crazy neighbor that was rolling logs down his/her lawn has put up his/her house for sale. I only wonder what he/she has left behind in the basement. If there is a basement!
I feel like a pizza now but I have no strength to call Domino's. Eurgh...
Guess what, the Hungry Ghost Festival occured this week. I had NO idea, I had thought it would have been much later in the year, round Halloween or something. But I was wrong! And I didn't even know about it until the day after the Festival was over. Bundles told me! And after a moment, I realized: oh, this must be the reason why I had that dream about my grandmother.
Things are falling into place!

"Cuz I lied and I cheated and I lied a litte more..."
I am in luuuuurve with the new Black Eyed Peas song, Don't Lie!
Actually these days I'm so into mainstream music and then people like the Lost Smoker and the Refugee come around and shove their non-mainstream music in my face and make me feel completely pathetic and guilty about joining the mainstream fan people but... what the hell, I'm not going to conform to whatever the nonconformists are conforming to! For the moment, I'm conforming to everything the conformists are conforming to because it's just sooo good...
On my playlist right now:
Black Eyed Peas - Don't Lie
Aerosmith ft Christina Milan from the Be Cool Soundtrack - Cryin
Rob Thomas - Lonely No More
Amerie - One Thing
Gwen Stefani - Cool
Bob Marley - Turn Your Lights Down Low
UB40 - Red Red Wine
Bob Marley - I Shot The Sheriff (Live Version)
Sarah McLachlan - Blue
Mmm...and it's all good...
The other day the Lost Smoker was making a remark about how he doesn't like Gwen Stefani anymore because he thinks she's completely sold herself out now, and while I was initially annoyed at him for dissing Gwen, he may have a point. Oh dear. Does he or does he not? Do discuss and tell me what you think, people.
It was a weekend of barbeques. The Flat 17 peeps had one, and then Baby Brother had another one! Baby Brother's house looks pretty good right now, with all his new furniture in and everything. Meet a bunch of people, including Baby Brother's possibly slightly crazed cousin. Went over to V. House as well, for the Charming Smoker's birthday party, although we left a little early to go to Metro's to meet up with the Rumor Spreader but we didn't even make it there in the end so we should have just stayed at V. House after all.
I'm a little pissed now because I can't log onto MSN because EUH has upgraded their security system and everyone's getting in because they've adjusted their proxy servers but I haven't upgraded my MSN so my proxy servers don't work even after I've adjusted them. Aaargh!

What a week!
I have been driven to exhaustion just listening to everyone go on about their classes the whole week. I have been driven to exhaustion looking for parties that don't seem to exist. I refuse to ever go over the road to KJ on Wednesday nights for parties that always never happen!
Just came back from my first class of the week, of the semester, of the rest of the year! It's Advanced Radio News and I thought it was four hours but we were dismissed after two hours. Hooray! And apparently, it's only suppose to last two hours anyway. Hooray!
That leaves me two more hours to have lunch and a nap. Hopefully, we will do away with the lecture later on as well and that will leave me THREE hours for lunch and a nap. Hooray!
BEcause I arrived five minutes late for class I got to sit in the front and stare up at my lecturer with huge eyes. I could feel my eyebrows constantly rising and I couldn't stop it. This often happens if you stand directly in front of me and go on and on for ages and I'm having a paranoia claustrophobia moment. And I couldn't stop thinking about removing my lecturer's eyes and keeping them as marbles in a jar. I have been having a thing about removing people's eyes for marbles lately. Somebody keep me away from the eyes!
What else did I do this week? I had a very deep and meaningful lunch with my sister. I actually turned down tickets to Cirque du Soleil! Don't shout at me! I just didn't want my sister to spend so much money on me! Basically, I have been bumming around EUH most of the time, 'specially over at the Duchess's new flat. Flat 17 has turned into a brothel. They have a red light up, and all the boys come and stand outside on their balcony with their cigarettes and shisha, and it looks like they're there on display for customers to pick and choose. The young boys of Flat 17 and the Tall One can be their mamasan. Hahaha.
Have been driving the Duchess crazy with my emotional distress situations as well. Also have been driving Moon Von crazy. My neighbor has gone crazy too. I'm not sure if it's a man or woman, and he/she had stacks of short logs in front of his/her house the other day. I watched him/her rolling the logs up and down his/her lawn while smoking on my balcony. Then, the other day, the logs had all disappeared and he/she was watering his/her garden. It was all very strange. Where have all the logs gone? What was the point of rolling the logs up and down the garden? And why water your garden when you have a reticulation system for that?

And how was your weekend?
Friday was all right, we went for the Fiesta thing down at the uni tav, but it wasn't much of a fiesta so we left after about fifteen or twenty minutes. I then went over to Flat 17 to have a smoke with the Quiet One and discovered that the Flat 17 boys were going to some party at some house down in another suburb but when we got there there were cops and a helicopter flying around with the spotlight on us so we went back to EUH and went over to another flat, but there was a bit of an "ethnic clash" over there so we left as well. There was a bit of arguing after that because some of us wanted to go clubbing and some others wanted to go get a bite to eat but it seemed that no one wanted to drive because they were all too drunk so we ended up heading back to Flat 17.
On Saturday, I went over to Flat 17 and found that the Tall One had returned! That was the reason for the huge flag hanging down their balcony and all the festive balloons around. Went over to a party at V. House with the Soft-spoken Socializer, the Quiet One and R. It was an all right party, I suppose, though there weren't too many people. Met up with an old friend and a couple of new ones. After a while, headed back to EUH with the Soft-spoken Socializer and R; the Quiet One stayed behind with his friends because they were planning to head down to Subiaco to go clubbing. When I got back to EUH, I headed over to the old Transit Flat where the others were having whiskey and yakking. Later on, the Lost Smoker burnt me a Velvet Underground CD and thn made fun of all my books, the mean thing!
Sunday was a pretty quiet day. The Duchess and I watched Monster-in-Law, but it wasn't as good as the trailer had made it out to be. Her flatmate watched a bit with us, but since he's a guy and it's a chick flick he ended up running off after a while, with obvious relief. Hahahah! Today, everyone's got classes but like usual, half of them didn't bother going. I didn't have any classes so I was fine. Hahah! It was a good day today, very sunny albeit windy and now there's thunder and lightning! It may rain.
