Well, I'm mostly done with the semester! Managed to finish off that prescription drug abuse article and handed it in. Yay!
Spent today doing three loads of laundry. Someone almost stole my laundry basket but I soon put a stop to that! Today's a beautiful day - sunny and warm with a breeze.
This weekend, Mystery Wolf, Tom Thumb Hairdryer, myself, the Duchess, Baby Brother, Prawn Cousin and Mandesh headed down to Northbridge to check out the Mardi Gras parade. We got lots of pics, with one of a delighted Duchess in the arms of a tall hulking transvestite and another of the Duchess and me with two semi-nude Pharaoh boys! Lots of chicks (including us) were trying to get pics with any gay couple that had a hot guy in it. Such a shame that they're not straight...sigh...
After the parade was over, we headed to the Onyx Bar. It's really classy with red lighting, white pillars, and sculptures of apple trees and almost-naked people all over the place. It's a nice place to get dressed up for and have good drinks (their drinks are pretty large and pretty strong, which is great!) and stand around looking chic with your friends. But everyone got pretty bored of it after a while and we ended up heading back to Northbridge to "slum it in our native slums with the riff-raffs" *lol*. The Prawn Cousin had to take Mandesh home but the rest of us went to Chinatown to eat because we were so hungry. After eating, we were joined by Tom Thumb's Dutch friend and his Indonesian girlfriend, whom we had met before at the Octoberfest, then headed to Varga Lounge and Paramount. Paramount was pretty good - they were playing great dance songs and we spent most of our time on the dance floor. We got home around four or five this time - not like last week when we headed to McDonald's for breakfast after and didn't get home til round eight! Either way, the sun was rising as we drove home.
Last night I came over to Flat 28 because Tom Thumb Hairdryer was making Mexican food for dinner, which was yummy! He then showed us some really funny shows - episodes of Look Around You and Sealab, not to mention this really hilarious David Hasselhoff music video. I swear, anyone who feels depressed should watch that video, it'd have you rolling on the floor, laughing in no time. Mystery Wolf went to bed after that but Tom Thumb, Lost Smoker and me settled down in the living room to watch Sin-Eater.
