Last night was a reunion night of sorts! I met up with lots of peeps whom I haven't seen since the beginning of break.
Our dear old skinny nanny is back, as naggy and Monica-from-Friends-ish as ever! The Duchess and I thought that we were finally free of all that cleaning-up shit after the departure of SweetRhapsody (that's not to say we don't miss you madly, darling!) but we forgot about our dear old nanny boy as well. He was frowning and shaking ragcloths at us everytime we so much as spilled a drop of cheap wine on the table.
Baby Bro is back too, and the darling got me and the Duchess presents! *squeals* It's these absolutely cute wooden miniature coffin boxes and inside, instead of a corpse, you get a little bottle of Arabian perfume. I'm absolutely thrilled, especially over the coffin. No one has ever given me a miniature wooden coffin before. Thanks, Baby Bro. *HUGZ*
We also went down to the pub that night and I met some new people, met some old friends, old flatmates, some new-ish friends that I had initially thought I would never see again, etc. Aik, my flatmate, was positively drunk and deliriously happy. Hahaha! The air outside by the pool tables was full of the smell of pot! Now I know where those potheads hang out in that particular pub.
After the pub, there were a couple of parties going on. We went down to one by KJ but when we got there security had already beat us to it, clearing out everyone. Did get to meet up with a whole bunch of old friends though. We were all squealing and hugging one another, just exactly like a bunch of mad drunken chicks. LOL.
We left KJ then and went home, was caught in a quick shower going across the street. I wanted to go to the other party going on in EUH but none of my friends wanted to - the poopers! So after popping into the Philosopher's flat to chat a bit, and finally I left the guys over there to some guy-talk while I headed back to the Transit Flat. It was most amusing there - the Dervish and the Colored Fringe were soon getting drunk and rapidly going into Aggresive Drunkard Mode, as they always do. These boys should never drink. They go mad.
Was pretty drunk too! Headed back to the Duchess's flat with the Duchess and the Highway Boy where they very kindly made me supper - the Duchess made me an egg (which she broke but was still delish!) and the Highway Boy made me toast. YAY - COOKS!
But I was still starving when I got home so I made indo mee and gossiped with Moon Von before finally stumbling to bed. Mmm...
And today I met the Duchess's friend from back home who has just freshly arrived and whom we shall call the Mystery Woman until we think of a proper name for her.
I know...I know...what's with the names? But we have to respect their privacy, y'know! ;)
Right, i gotta go now. Adieu, everyone!

Been feeling kind of floaty today. Eternally lazy days. Mmmm. It's warm today. I just kind of lay on the floor by the sliding doors, basking in the sunshine like one of those fat cats hanging around EUH, slipping in and out of a daze while Moon Von gave me a complete rundown on her Entire Life History.
Got the munchies after having a bit of the smokies last night so when I got home around 5ish I crashed on the couch with a tin of Pringles and some guacamole dip while listening to Moon Von chat on the phone. She was talking in a really energetic kind of way and just listening to her made me feel tired.
We had a flat inspection today so when I finally got up sufficient energy, I set the Pringles aside and had a go at scrubbing the top of the oven. It was a MESS, and I don't know which one of my flatmates is responsible for it. Brown stuff hardened all around the elements. It was disgusting. Bah. I finally got rid of all the yucky stuff and crashed into bed at sixish in the morning, only to be awoken at nine because my services as a therapist were badly needed.
The boys from the flats by the gazebo have gone on some twilight tour thing. It's really for the new students but apparently they're crashing it to meet girls, haha. The Duchess is studying while Moon Von is counseling her currently heartbroken cousin. I have no idea where the DESIs are. I could get up and go look but I'm not really motivated to. Idol is up on TV, about to be followed by The 4400, and I'm just way too lazy to move an inch right now. Possibly the only reason why I'd leave my room is to get the Pringles and dip again. I might get up enough energy to go out later, but we'll see.
Hunnypox has just called me! She is an air stewardess on the Emirates airlines! She describes her uniform as "a penguin suit." Just a couple of weeks ago the Colored Fringe had been arguing with someone about the way the air hostesses on the Emirates airline looked. Colored Fringe had insisted that they were really old and horrible-looking. Well, not anymore, not with Hunnypox around! ;)

I am currently living right between an innocent and a criminal.
All right, it's more like I've been living between two complete innocents, one of which has also been duped by criminals, but it's more interesting to tell people that I live between an innocent and a criminal.
It's okay if you don't understand because I'm not suppose to tell much anyway. Because the criminals might kill me. The innocents won't, because they're innocent, after all, but the criminals might.
Such an exciting life, isn't it?

EUH has suddenly been flooded with more people! It's definitely livelier than usual. :)
I gave SweetRhapsody a call yesterday morning but my credit ran out midway just as she was giving me some particularly juicy gossip (damn!) and I haven't topped it up yet.
The Duchess arrived mid-afternoon yesterday! But she's got a sup test on Wed so she's been kept busy studying so far. But come Wed night - who knows? ;)
I've been much healthier in the first two days of this week than I have been for the entire past two weeks! First of all, I did way more exercise yesterday than I did for the past two weeks (walked four times to Coles, once to uni, and helped the Duchess cart her stuff from my room to her flat). All right, SweetRhapsody, I can just picture you rolling your eyes right now.
And today I actually had real vegetables! Stir-fry ones from the shop down by Coles. There was actually greenery in my food! The only kind of fruits or vegetables that I had last week were the fried (tinned) pineapple rings that the Soft-spoken Socializer kept piling on my plate at the bbq on Thursday. Whom, by the way, I should really rename because he's not that much of a soft-spoken socializer as I thought when I first met him. He shall be renamed, but only when I can think of a proper nick!
I've been hard pushed to get people proper nicks these days. I'm going to get lazy soon (like I'm not lazy enough!) and start calling everyone by their real names and exposing all their secrets. ;)

It has really been ages since I've blogged!!!!!
So most of my time has been spent sleeping away in bed or over at the Gutter Philosopher's flat, just sitting around and drinking and smoking (erm, a bit too much smoking!), watching movies with Moon Von and listening to her little life dramas or clubbing, and also finding out about the tragedy that's happened in A3's life, the poor guy. There were also a couple of barbeques at the Philosopher's place too. That's pretty much what my past two weeks have consisted of.
The cinema in the city which SweetRhapsody, the Duchess and I go to every Tuesday for our movie day was bombed! At least that's what Moon Von says. It looked fine today when we walked past it. Moon Von and I went shopping and bought eyeliners each. Sadly I lost my MAC eye liner last week when I got completely smashed on Wednesday night. All I remembered was downing tequila shots before leaving the house - and that's it! And the next day - poof! no eye liner! Aaaah!
I got an Estee Lauder one this time. Forest Writer or something. It's supposed to be a deep green but it looks more like black.
The new flatmate has arrived. She's this small sweet-looking innocent girl. Moon Von and I are deeply disappointed that it's not a cute guy.
And Moon Von and I got manicures! This girl snatched us the moment we got off the escalator at David Jones. It was only five bucks per person. Moon Von got hers in white and I got mine in a very natural French pink polish. I love it. Mmm. My first manicure ever. Woot.

Last night I attempted to make some risotto thing. It seemed pretty easy, just mix the contents of the packet with 2 cups of water and put it in the microwave. But the water didn't seem to be draining, I wasn't too sure about how high a wattage my microwave is, and let's just say the rice was a teensy bit uncooked.
And there I was, in the middle of a kind of unappetizing meal when LO calls and invites me over for freshly baked scones.
Of course I went over there right away! The rice went into the bin.
It was like tea-time over at LO's, lol. She had these really yummy scones with cream and jam and butter and she served us all tea in actual tea cups with saucers. Later on, a bunch of us drove over to M2 for drinks.
When we got home I was still feeling a bit restless so I gave the Philosopher a call and went over to his place. Gawd, I felt as if I'd just stepped into some bachelor party thing when I came over. There was the Philosopher, the Socializer, Amar, John Pierre, Valentine and their friend Claude who seems to have a multiple personality disorder and thinks he is Pharrell or some other celebrity. With the exception of Amar, they are all busy getting drunk. Later on, Valentine either passes out or falls asleep, I'm not too sure, and Amar goes to bed and the rest of them makes me come out in the freezing cold to head down to the duck pond with them. Poor ducks, it was a good thing there didn't seem to be any around when we were at the pond. The guys would have scared the hell out of them.

I think we're pretty much up to date right now! As mentioned before, I headed over for dinner with LO at her place last night. She made pasta - yum. Her flatmate made some very suspicious looking muffins which had about 2 cups of sugar in it; definitely not something for diabetics to sample. We also pushed her car up the hill; there was something wrong with the fuel tank or something.
Today is a bright and sunny day! If only someone was here with me to go for a picnic! I have to go to uni to sort out problems with my enrollment stuff but I'm feeling pretty lazy; maybe I'll just go tomorrow. Bewitched and the Fantastic Four is coming out today, who is going to watch it with me? I hear Moon Von moving about in her flat; maybe I will make her come with me. I have just realized that I'd forgotten to return one of SweetRhapsody's CDs, the Fresh Giller one, I think I will hold it hostage along with her bathrobe for a million bucks.
Right, think I will go out and soak up the sun while I have a cigarette. Ciao, guys!

Okay I'm getting to the sad part now!
I stumbled off to bed after we got back from Oriels while SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin ran around packing and doing last-minute laundry. They promised to wake me up at seven thirty to return the car but we all overslept and woke up at eight thirty. By then we had gotten a parking ticket AND had to pay for extra mileage and hours at the rental office! Aaaargh! And since some of us were leaving we had to scramble to collect money and pay each other back for whatever the other owes. Jeez. But luckily LO has informed me that since our car was parked on the grassy verge we actually could appeal for our fine to be waived so I'm trying to do that right now since I think both SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin have forgotten to pay me their share of the fine before they left!
Anyway, after returning the car SweetRhapsody took the bus home to finish her packing (as well as clean the microwave for me!) while the Curly Pumpkin and I had yummy McD's breakfasts before heading down to the tattoo parlor (not the scary guy one, but the first one we went to in NB!). They made us wait ages there, we were waiting for at least an hour. And all the while we tried to occupy ourselves by looking at tattoo designs and pictures of people who have had their tattoos done there. Some were really cool. There was a picture of an old man in a bright turquoise g-string showing off all his tattoos all over his body. That was kind of disgusting, lol. We felt a bit like we were waiting in a dentist's office, especially when you could hear that needle thing going on in the other room. The Curly Pumpkin was definitely getting more and more nervous as we waited longer. The tattoo artist passed by and smiled at us and told her to just sit back and relax while waiting. RELAX? HOW CAN SHE RELAX? Lol.
Finally, he was ready for her. She lay down on her side (she was getting it on her hip, kind of towards her back) and he proceeded to tattoo. I could see that she was really nervous so I tried to get her mind off it by yakking about all kinds of nonsense stuff while occasionally craning my neck to see how the tattoo was going. That was so cool, I've never seen a tattoo actually being done in real life before. I wanted to ask him all kinds of things like the pain threshold for various parts of the body and stuff like that but didn't dare to in case the Curly Pumpkin got even more nervous. She started to calm down though, but I think it was a bit painful for her. But she was really cool about it and we were talking all kinds of shit and suddenly the artist went "Okay, take a look in the mirror." What? she's done already? That was fast! The scorpion is cool, she loves it. He puts a bandage over it and tells her to remove it in about an hour and wash the tattoo with warm water and soap before applying cream to it. He doesn't say what kind of cream. Later on, when the Curly Pumpkin peels off the bandage to wash her tattoo, we discover blood on the bandage in a perfect replica of her scorpion tattoo. It was kind of cool but a bit unnerving to realize how much blood she must have lost because of that tattoo. We took pictures of both her tattoo and her blood-stained bandage. I'll put up the pics later.
Anyway, we headed back after getting the tattoo done. When we got home everyone was in a frenzy packing, clearing out things, cleaning, returning borrowed belongings and donating unwanted stuff to the Salvation Army. I made loads of trips back and forth to my flat because I was taking SweetRhapsody's microwave off her, the Curly Pumpkin's pillows and bowls off her, and storing a lot of their stuff. My bedroom currently kind of half-resembles a store room ith boxes and bags everywhere. I should be charging people for this. However I have also gained enough grocery supples to last me at least a week.
Anyway, we are all finally ready and a maxi cab has been called to take all of us (SweetRhapsody, Curly Pumpkin, myself, White Rabbit, Little Bat, Silent Walker, the Dervish and the Colored Fringe) to the domestic airport. The cab takes ages coming and in the process of waiting, the lighter that Curly Pumpkin gives me gets destroyed by the boys. I don't know how they do that, they're engineers but they ruin everything that they touch. The cab finally comes and we all pile in. The White Rabbit and the Little Bat were running late for their plane so there was a bit of a rush getting their stuff checked in and we only got to say hurried goodbyes before they went through the gate. Then the rest of us headed down to the other end of the airport where we got SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin checked in, then waited with them outside the gate. SweetRhapsody and the Colored Fringe made a very touching couple; they were sitting beside another couple who were separating, and both couples kept moving in exactly the same position so they looked like clone couples. The Curly Pumpkin gave me last-minute directions on how to make apple crumble and Milo. The Silent Walker spent most of the time on his phone; he looked like he was selling and buying million dollar shares or something. The Duchess msged both myself and SweetRhapsody, she too is leaving on a plane from Kl to India and distressed at leaving her honeybunny aka the rabbit (not to be confused with the White Rabbit aka Ninja Crisis). Hmm, all this talk about rabbits makes me feel like having one for dinner. Roast rabbit. Yum. Okay, anyway, the gate opens and we all get up to say our good-byes. SweetRhapsody was crying. I felt like I was going to cry too but I didn't. It was really sad saying goodbye to her and the Curly Pumpkin!!!!!! We've been so close in such a short time and now we're all separating! SOB! Miss ya, jeje! Bewitched is coming out today and we won't even get to see it together! Aaaah!
Anyway, they finally depart through the gates. Me and the three boys start to leave. You could see that the Colored Fringe was pretty upset as well. The Silent Walker kept looking at me and asking if I was going to cry, aaah. We get out of the airport and raced to catch the bus to the city, I think I nearly twisted my ankle running in heels. I was planning to head home and be all depressed and abandoned but decided to accompany the guys who were planning to catch a movie. Better to be out then to be in and alone! We got to the city and met up with one of their friends who drove us to Carousel. The guys all decided to watch Batman but the Silent Walker and I have already seen that. He wanted to watch Mr and Mrs Smith because he had only seen the first half of it and I didn't really care because I've seen both movies so I offered to come with him to watch Mr and Mrs Smith. I'd rather watch Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt then Katie Holmes and Christian Bale anyway. (Brad Pitt takes precedence over Christian Bale in this instance because I don't like the way he looks in Batman, he was way more rugged in Reign of Fire! Haha!) Bumped into the 80s Laundry Dude and Jess who were also here to watch War of the Worlds with the Turbanator and Trevor and some of the other EUH people. Reminder: still have not cleared my name with Trevor and the 80s Laundry Dude. The Silent Walker isn't that silent after all, I now realize, lol. After Mr and Mrs Smith, we snuck into Batman Begins for the last fifteen minutes, then met up with the rest of the guys, then headed home.

On Monday SweetRhapsody and I got up way early in the cold freezing morning to rent a car. We got an auto so I could drive as well but I chickened out and decided to let SweetRhapsody handle the driving instead. The two of us and the Colored Fringe and Curly Pumpkin and LO headed down to the city where we had lunch in Northbridge and then went off in search of a tatto parlor for the Curly Pumpkin. We found one quickly enough but they weren't able to fit the Curly Pumpkin in until the next morning. We then made a quick detour to buy apple strudel before heading back to EUH to drop LO off. She also gave us directions to the tattoo parlor where she had gotten her own tattoo done. We tried to find it but ended up making a wrong turn right from the start and driving for ages trying to find the place! LO said it was near a Nando's restaurant and cheesecake shop and when we finally found a Nando's restaurant and cheesecake shop we got excited - but there was no tattoo parlor to be found and anyway it wasn't the right road. We called LO back and discovered the mistake of the wrong turn - we were suppose to turn right in the beginning, not left! We drove all the way back to EUH and started out again. This time we found the right place. It was, as LO had said, a dodgy little place where old men smoked weed outside. We parked in a not-so-reassuring parking lot and tried to head down a not-so-reassuring back alley which was blocked, and eventually circled round a Thai restaurant and a tanning salon and a beauty shop which promised 50% off for eternal beauty and entered the tattoo parlor. It's tiny and cramped; no one was around. Suddenly this little old man bursts in through the back door in a puff of stale licqour air. He's covered with tattoos and has a little grey ponytail on his otherwise bald and tattoo-covered head and, according to SweetRhapsody, has bad teeth (I didn't look close enough at his mouth to see that) and was totally creepy and kind of scary and not reassuring at all. You could practically see the wheels turning in the Curly Pumpkin's head as she started to develop doubts about the hygiene and quality and general wisdom of getting a tattoo done in that place, by that guy. He says he can give her a tattoo right away but his general creepiness was starting to freak all of us out, and besides, the scorpion designs in that place (the Curly Pumpkin wanted a scorpion tattoo) weren't as nice as the first place we had gone to so the Curly Pumpkin made some excuse about having to rush off somewhere and promised to come in the next morning instead. He just stared at her with those cold blue beady eyes in a really intense sort of way and asked her questions like what her name was and where she was from. When we finally made it out of the shop, we made jokes about how he was probably going to hunt her down and either tattoo her or kill her for not coming back the next morning.
It was dark by then but it wasn't time for dinner yet so we decided to head up to King's Park so that the Curly Pumpkin and SweetRhapsody could take one last look at the city. When we got there SweetRhapsody and the Colored Fringe kind of faded into the dark like all couples do up there. The Curly Pumpkin and I took a long slow walk and watched city lights. We played around with a telescope by the railing but didn't bother using it as you had to pay two bucks for that. We walked down to some memorial for the tsunami victims or Bali victims or something at the other end, then headed back. The walk back was kind of interesting, first we discovered some wishing well which we hadn't even noticed passing by earlier, then we discovered that in the past five minutes since we were gone, someone had actually ripped the telescope off its post and made off with it!
We got back to EUH where the Dervish had made dinner for everyone. Surprisingly (especially considering that stint with the barbecue on SweetRhapsody's birthday) it turned out quite well. SweetRhapsody and I then took the Little Bat, the Silent Walker and Noisy Kev down to the city to buy licquor. They might have gone on and on wandering up and down the streets in search of open licquor stores if I hadn't pointed them in the direction of the Brass Monkey Bar. We then headed back to EUH. Later on, we all headed out to Orioles for coffee. Everyone wanted to come along so we made two trips in the car. The Curly Pumpkin drove to Orioles on the first trip. Inspired by her, I drove the car back to EUH and then back to Orioles on the second trip! It was kind of jerky and scary at first because I wasn't used to the lightness of the car but I eventually got used to it and it got fun. It was kind of tough keeping to the speed limit, though, since I never bothered keeping to the limit back at home. I kept watching the needle at the corner of my eye to make sure it stayed perfectly at 70 or 80 or 100, depending on what the speed limit was. The Little Bat, Silent Walker, Matsumoto and Noisy Kev were in the car during the second trip and they were semi-drunk and howling at the top of their voices (all except for the Silent Walker, whom as you all can tell, is pretty much silent most of the time) as I was driving so yay for my powers of concentration!
We had our drinks at Orioles and when we girls ducked into the bathroom we discovered poetry written on the walls by some guy whose name I forgot. I took a couple of pictures of the poetry because I had my camera with me.
We then drove home. SweetRhapsody drove during both trips because I was pretty much exhausted; it was pretty late by then and I have had barely any sleep during the past few nights.
Okay, I'm getting pretty tired myself so that's it for the posts tonight. Will update the rest tomorrow! Goodnight, everyone!

Woke up the next day to go down to Freo with SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin. Showed up at the Transit Flat to find the drunken fools of last night reminiscing over what little they could remember. We three girls then left them and took the bus down to Freo where we scoured the place for tattoo shops because the Curly Pumpkin was planning to get a tattoo! For some reason we didn't find any shops although we definitely KNEW we had seen loads of tattoo parlors all over Freo before. They must have all magically disappeared and the only shop we found was close. We finally gave up and headed down to the harbor to have fish and chips before taking the train back to the city. The ride was interesting; we were racially attacked by a crazed old lady in a fluffy pink vest who shouted at us. She also shouted at a couple who raced off to take different seats away from her and she smiled round at everyone in a crazed cold manner, like the smile of a murderer before they kill you. Everyone in the train breathed a distinct sight of relief when she got off.
Anyway when we got to the city, the Curly Pumpkin headed home while SweetRhapsody and I went to the cinema to watch the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was really sweet and oh so sad! I cried at one point. It also turned out to be the last movie which SweetRhapsody and I watched together before she left which made it kind of bittersweet. *sigh*!

So anyway most of the days after SweetRhapsody's birthday was spent helping her pack or buy gifts or stopping her from unnecessary shopping. I must admit to unnecessary shopping myself but who cares, I have three great new tops! I did however prevent myself from buying this gorgeous red bracelet. Now must stop thinking about said bracelet or else...
On Saturday night the boys were on a mission to get drunk once more. Matsumoto fulfilled this mission very quickly and stumbled around the flat roaring, "If we don't go clubbing tonight I'll kill all of you!" However he got way too drunk and disappeared out the flat door and passed out somewhere and was the only one in our group who never made it to the clubs. The Dervish was pretty much roaring drunk by the time the cabs showed up. SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin had already taken the first cab with the Monkey and the Puppy. I sat up front in the cab while the Colored Fringe and the Silent Walker sat in the back with the Dervish and tried to distract the driver from noticing the Dervish's drunkardness but he just talked way too much. That is another one who talks too freely when he is drunk. When we made it to Northbridge, the Silent Walker and I ran down to the ATM to withdraw some cash and when we got back, the Colored Fringe greeted us with the news that the bouncers at Paramount wouldn't let the Dervish in because he was too drunk. By that time the Ninja Crisis/White Rabbit and the Little Bat and Noisy Kev had shown up in the third cab and SweetRhapsody, Curly Pumpkin, and the brothers had emerged from Paramount. We managed to get into Varga Lounge where a bit of time was spent taking care of both the Dervish and White Rabbit who was also a little drunk, but she wasn't as bad as the Dervish, she recovered pretty soon. However, by the time we were about to start dancing the lights suddenly came on. The club was closing - at 2 am!!! Come on!!! We headed back out with the intention of trying our luck with Paramount again but the line was so long that we decided to head down to Base instead. By this time the Silent Walker had run off to another club without even telling any of us. We got into Base but the Dervish got himself kicked out within minutes, and the Monkey with him as well. Poor Monkey! He doesn't even drink! The Puppy went out to join them as well. We eventually met up with them once more only to find out that they had just been kicked out of another club as well because of the Dervish again. We spent a bit of time on the streets discussing what to do next. The Monkey sulked a little, he wasn't enjoying his night at all and he looked adorable sulking, poor thing, hahah. SweetRhapsody, Curly Pumpkin, and the Colored Fringe decide to call it a night and take the Dervish home with them. He babbled all kinds of nonsense but no one listened to him. The rest of us went to DV8 where they played first RnB, then techno, then, of all things, retro music! They played songs from Grease! It was weird but really fun at the same time. I really wished that SweetRhapsody had been there - she would have loved it, especially the retro music! The club closed around five and we ended up waiting ages in the freezing cold for a maxi cab that would take all six of us. We eventually made it home and I made myself a snack before collasping into bed.
By the way, this is also the night where yet another of my lighters got stolen. All I know was that it was passed around through several hands and somehow disappeared right before we left the Transit Flat to meet the cabs. It was never to be seen again.

I am back, my adoring fans!
Anyway, where was I?
Oh, yes. SweetRhapsody's birthday. Anyway, on the real birthday itself, we went out shopping in the city. In the evening we had a barbecue. The Pothead Teddy was the main chef but when he went for a cigarette break the Dervish took over and didn't even notice that the fire had gone out so the meat got a little uncooked! The Refugee came for a short while but then had to leave because he was "meeting a friend somewhere". I, however, knew he was really going off to trade stolen diamonds with a crook and reminded him to take that gun of his and keep it at hand under the table. He never returned that night so maybe things went bad but I do know he's still alive because he had just had dinner with the Curly Pumpkin the other day. The Curly Pumpkin and I fought hard to get ahold of the pool table but ended up having to share it with a couple of the other guys. SweetRhapsody directed the guys to clean up but some of them got a bit huffy and whiny, but eventually they started cleaning although they neglected to clean the grills and lied about it.
We all headed back to the Transit Flat where the guys proceeded to get drunk. Mainly everyone who could smoke gathered outside on the patio. All my cigarettes were finished on that night. We then made Matsumoto run home for more roll-ups while the Little Bat (Ninja Crisis aka White Rabbit's boyfriend) "borrowed" a pack of cigarettes off the Pothead Teddy. I say "borrowed" because he actually just walked right into the Pothead Teddy's room and took the cigarettes when he wasn't there. He did promise to buy him a pack later though. I do wonder if the Little Bat doesn't have a bit of a klepto streak, lol, because I do know for a fact that one of my lighters made its way into his posession. But maybe it's a boy thing because for some reason my lighters keep getting lost or ruined everytime they get passed around in male hands. But more on that later!
Anyway, the Colored Fringe got plenty drunk that night and talked a little too freely and was a great source of entertainment through the glass wall for everyone. The Pothead Teddy passed out thin cigars to all the smokers except me, which I find a bit annoying with a bit of feminine prejudice there. What, girls can't smoke cigars now? In their drunkenness the boys confess to not having cleaned the grills and headed back with pails of water and detergent to finish the job. I followed them because I was looking for the pink ribbon of my tweed shoe (which was sadly never seen again) but when they started haphazardly throwing water and detergent everywhere I snuck off back to the Transit Flat, giggling when I heard them howl my name when they discovered I had run off. They eventually somehow finished the job and got back to the flat.
SweetRhapsody opened her presents. The brothers had gotten her a green tea Dusk candle. The Duchess and I had gotten her Revlon eye make up and nail polish goodies and two Jack Johnson CDs and I had gotten her a birthday card with a baby elephant on it. It was listed under the Juvenile section in the stationary shop so it's appropriate for her age, hahah. The Dervish had gotten her a pink stone bracelet which was really quite beautiful, we were all surprised. Great Shorts had gotten her a stuffed dog which I personally thought looked a little scary. After the party started to die down, I headed home, exhausted as well. The DESI boys and the Little Bat were moving in on the leftover chicken and lamb as I headed out the door.

Gone for Dinner.
Erm, my adoring fans, Louise has just asked me to dinner. She is a great cook and I have accepted and so will be gone for a while so you'll just have to check in later for more updates. I promise to try to get them in by tonight or tomorrow though. Do not cry, adoring fans! I will be back soon! Not soon enough for you, I know, but soon!

Anyway, the first thing I want to talk about is SweetRhapsody's birthday!!! It was on the 28th of June and it was her 22nd birthday. All the hoohah actually happened on the day before. I had planned to buy her a cake for her birthday and so had the Colored Fringe, only he had planned on making, not buying her a cake, to add a bit of a personal touch to it. As everyone who knows me knows, my cooking skills are *ahem* limited, but as the Colored Fringe was there, I felt reassured. We bought some cake mix and he did most of the work mixing and stuff ( I don't have an electric mixer) and we finally got the cake into the oven and he left me to watch over the cake while he went home for a shower and stuff. The directions on the box said that it would take about 55 minutes to bake but horror of horrors, after about half an hour or so, the entire flat was filled with a very strong smell of chocolate cake. I was talking to Screaming Sour online then and I said "hang on, I'm just going to check on the cake to make sure it's not burning." ScreamingSour laughed. I went out to find Moon Von and her sister, who had just returned home, staring at the oven. One look at them made me realize: THE CAKE WAS BURNT.
I must say though that it looked very good burnt black. Like a fruit cake or coffee cake (or at least what I'd imagine a coffee cake to look like.)
Anyway, I went into hysterics immediately. What are we going to do? What are we going to surprise SweetRHapsody with? How could I have burnt the cake? HOW COULD THE CAKE HAVE BURNT? What did I do wrong? What did the instructions say? Why did they say fifty minutes when the stupid thing burnt in thirty? I did everything to the letter! Where can I find Betty Crocker and what is the most painful way in which I could kill her? Where am I going to find another cake? Coles is closed!!! What is the Colored Fringe going to say? He's going to kill me!!!!!!!!
Luckily Moon Von and her sister were there to calm me down! (Better Crocker, take note, Moon Von and her sister have saved you from death in an oven of cake mixes). We decided to go down to the gas station where they might sell cake mixes. SweetRhapsody called just then to demand that I come down to her flat. Half hysterical and half guilt-ridden, I babble something incoherent about Moon Von having a personal problem which needed my attention at once and hung up on her. We run down to the gas station. While running past SweetRhapsody's flat, I see her standing at the kitchen window, washing her hands or pans or whatever and looking out the window directly at me. She looked very scary and suspicious. I think I looked very guilty.
The stupid gas station did not sell cake mixes! What gas station does not sell cake mixes? Don't they think that the people of the world who needs gas might need cake mixes too?
Luckily, Moon Von remembered that there was a convenience store in the city near the restaurant where she works which might just be open at this late hour. We immediately call a cab from the gas station. Lousy Swan Cab staff members are not too sure where the Shell Station in the K suburb is located. I scream out directions while hoping that my operating a handphone in the middle of a Shell gas station would not set off a spark in their fuel tanks or whatever and cause the station to go up in flames. The cab does not come! I nearly go into hysterics again. Moon Von calls another cab, this time from the Black and White Cab Company. They are far more dependable, they know where the Shell Station in the K suburb is. Both cabs arrive at the same time. We stare haplessly at both cabs then make a run for the Black and White cab while I shout out lies to the Swan cab about there being another group of people earlier at this station who had just left in another cab. The driver in the Black and White cab talks about natural medicines and herbs. Does he not realize I am about to fall apart? Don't talk natural herbs to me when I'm thinking cake mixes. Better Crocker might very well die from natural herbs. In chocolate cakes.
We make it to the convenience store and bought two cake mixes (just in case the next cake meets the same fate as the Better Crocker one). This one is Silver Wing or Silver Bird or something. We buy the mixes just before the store closes. The cashier lady stared at us in a very rude way.
The natural medicine cab driver hands us over to another cab (he has to go and pick up someone else at some other spot at the very same time). This is all irrelevant to the cake mix mess. We reach EUH and run home to make the cake. Moon Von and her sister assisted, the darlings. We put the cake in the oven. I smoke a cigarette on the flat balcony to calm myself down. Moon Von felt mischevious and scared me into thinking the cake had burnt when I re-entered the flat. We continued to check on the cake. This cake is also suppose to bake for 55 minutes but it too was ready by thirty minutes. Betty Crocker's life is saved, the maker of my oven will not be so lucky but we will save that for another story another time. The cake is a success. We put on the icing. I breath a sigh of relief. I call the Colored Fringe to tell him the good news. (I had finally mustered up the courage to call him while at the gas station waiting for a cab.) He comes over with the Dervish and the Silent Walker. We make candle arrangements. I kick them out of my flat. I run off to collect my laundry and take a shower and get cake mix smell out of my hair. I call them back into my flat. By now it is nearly twelve and SweetRhapsody is probably making voodoo dolls of me because I have abandoned her the entire day. Louise comes over. Everyone else is in SweetRhapsody's flat. We light the candles and go down and ring the doorbell. She opens the door and I snap a picture of her shocked face. I don't think she likes that picture very much but she liked the cake and the surprise!!!!!!! :D

Well today is my first day as an abandoned child! Hahaha! Meaning that SweetRhapsody and the Curly Pumpkin and the Ninja Crisis aka the White Rabbit and her boyfriend have all left last night *sob* it was so sad and I still miss everyone ESPECIALLY SweetRhapsody. I miss her so so so very much!!!!!!!!! My non-biological big sister has gone and there is no one to sing sunshine songs with or to wake me up early in the morning or whine down my ear or watch movies with! Aaaah! What would I do without her?
But first I must update on all the things which has been leading up to this day! So keep refreshing this blog because I plan to put up a few posts in the next half hour - or however long it would take to write about all the things that we have done!!!
